“I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride, I'm wanted dead or alive” Bon Jovi

A classic song line from a classic movie “Young Guns” and now is your opportunity to ride your own steel horse off-road through some of the most iconic Wild West places in America, guaranteed to leave you feeling very much alive if not a little bit tired!

The 2014 Cannonball Charity Ride in Cambodia was such a hit that this year (2015) the Cannonballers’ head across the Pacific to the good ol’ USA for what is now the annual overseas event. You can be part of it, easily turning your dirt biking dreams into reality, just like those before you have done.

Cannonball Charity Rides will again look after all the logistics, the riding buddies and the route. All you have to do is turn up with some intermediate trail bike skills and take the adventure ride of a lifetime, a Wild West adventure! From the mountains of Cortez, Colorado, to Utah’s Valley of the Gods, we will cover some of the most stunning country you will find anywhere, and as usual it’s all for a good cause.

This year we’re organising the ride in association with Lostforareason.org. “Lost for a Reason” is a group of trail bike riders in the United States who help those in need. Co-Founder Ron Grace is the man behind ensuring our USA off road experience will be one of a kind!

“We have ONE real mission...that is to help children and families in the places we ride, run, explore, bike….whether we are buying food for the food bank, supplies for school kids, playgrounds for kids to just be kids...” Ron Grace

One to two days will be spent building a playground and repairing buildings in a small remote community within a Navajo Reservation, an amazing experience within itself. Then it’s off on a route taking us on a circuit from Denver, Colorado, crossing the Continental Divide several times before finishing back in Denver where it all started. Easy to say better to see!

With limited spaces available, there will be 10 riders from Australia and 10 riders from USA which might lead to some cultural exchange, if you pack some Vegemite!

The itinerary has been put together by very experienced local riders, Dusty and Ron who have come up with a cracker of a route that is certainly going to keep the riders on their toes. This is one trip that absolutely must be crossed off the dirt bikers bucket list.
